Reactor is placed before VFD / Thyristor drive for protecting from harmonics and di/dt effects, and for the following benefits:
- Mitigation of harmonics to the power supply line.
- Mitigation from inrush current, due to process load requirements.
- Mitigation of electrical noises to the power supply grid.
